What happens in a consultation?

The initial consultation takes about 90 minutes. I first ask the client in some detail about themselves and the reasons for coming to see me and I propose ways to achieve this. We then discuss what would be a good outcome for the client and agee a goal for their first balance. (A kinesiology session is known as a ‘balance’.) I then explain more about muscle monitoring (testing) and demonstrate it to the client to ensure they are comfortable with it before our first session. The client and I work closely together to ensure that the client always feels in control and comfortable with the process. All treatments are unique and tailored to your needs.

Most clients prefer to lie on the therapy couch during the balance but they also have the option of sitting or standing.  I only ask that clients wear comfortable clothing for the balance. I then apply gentle pressure (muscle checking) to a series of different muscles to determine the priority healing treatment for the client. The healing treatment may work on a number of levels: physical, emotional, and chemical.

For consultations with children, I require a parent(s) to remain during the sessions to provide valuable information and to witness the journey their child is experiencing. Often parents witnessing the session themselves decide to have their own kinesiology balance at a later date so they assist their child and also bring an improvement to their own quality of life.

How many sessions?

Sometimes a client will only need a single appointment for their problems, but more generally people need a series of appointments. Some clients recognise that kinesiology can be used in a preventive manner rather than just dealing with problems when they arise. These clients will continue to have kinesiology sessions in order to maintain their health and well-being.

The initial consultation costs £60.  Further consultations cost £40 per hour.
